I am pleased to write this review on behalf of ACMD Service since our heater broke down and we just had our first baby in April of 2011. First of all, I went through about 8 other heating and air-conditioning places before I carefully considered ACMD. After thorough research and hiring them, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place for a number of reasons.
1) Without even negotiating their price, they offered me the lowest price compared to any other place I spoke to and they also offered me a better unit. They were as low as $1000 cheaper than some other companies and we got a 14 SEER unit instead of a 13 SEER which is supposed to be more energy efficient. Since we live in a 1,500 square feet place, we got a 3 ½ ton RUUD unit.
2) We have a ten year warranty of labor and parts because we also signed up for this bi-yearly inspection.
3) Don, the owner, was patient with me while I asked a ton of questions. I spent two days on the phone going back and forth. He was very straight forward and was honest and sincere. He also knew what he was talking about. Some other person at a different company suggested that we get a 4 ton, but Don recommend going with the 3 ½ since something about the humidity level. He also recommended getting the stainless steel heating unit which has a lifetime warranty.
4) He also sent one of his best men at his company, Eddie, to come out and remove our old unit with a crane and replace it. It took less than half a day to get the job done.
5) They came on time and kept their promise about what was expected, and I was happy because I got more for less compared to other companies.
6) They also have a great, professional website and have and also a EXCELLENT rating on the BBB website. It is also important to check for that as well.
7) Lastly, their office worker who corresponded with me with e-mails was very professional.
8) I even turned down a friend’s referral to go with this company because they got 5 out of 5 stars in every single area from professionalism, expertise, getting things done in a timely manner, warranty, quality of units available, explanations and also presentation.
