I had informed Alvarado Day Care of the bed bug infestation at where I live. They did not see it as important enough to document that I told them as "medically important". I had told them about my daughters' predisposition to asthma, allergies, and eczema. Those things were documented.
The director, Carol, left a message on my voicemail that was basically an infomercial about how bed bugs can cause brain damage (information she got from a so called medical website, instead of calling my daughters' pediatrician for information or a nurse advice/help line to obtain more REPUTABLE and ACCURATE information), and why didn't I tell her about all the bed bug bites (which somehow by the end of the day disappeared and she had no explanation for that). SUPPOSEDLY it is state law to tell the daycare about these things on a daily basis.
I feel if I have informed people superior to your position (child protective services, and the pediatrician), I don't have to tell you about it... Repeatedly.. Like a broken record.
When I informed her that unless it's a real medical emergency, the daycare will not be contacted back IMMEDIATELY to see what's going on with my daughter. That's when she told me that Thursday, December 16, 2010 was officially my daughters' last day of daycare and then proceeded to threaten to call the police.
I feel bullied by this daycare, they left me high and dry because I'm trying to register for classes and get a job. I want my daughter to continue going to daycare for the fact that it is for her own benefit.

When I contacted Alvarado this morning, I spoke with Sherri, the assistant director. When I questioned her about why medical information regarding asthma, allergies, etc were recorded into their computer, but not bug bites, I was promptly hung up on.
