About a year ago, I lost my job as an elementary school teacher. It was bad enough having to stress about making my mortgage payment and continue to provide for my two children with the loss of my job, but the situation was shortly worsened by my husband getting his hours at work cut. My family and I were going through an extremely rough time both financially and personally, and my unsuccessful attempts at negotiation with my lender further depressed me. They were extremely unhelpful, and I was beginning to think there was no hope of keeping my house. Then my friend mentioned to me that her sister had gone through a modification with the American Law Firm. I figured I might as well give it a shot so I called and was relieved to discover the individual I spoke with was not only informative and helpful but gave me hope- something I had pretty much lost. The American Law Firm was able to keep my family in our home and negotiate a modified payment that was affordable to us. I cannot thank them enough!
