Be Very Wary of these people

We received a notice from Avid Law Center claiming they could help us with a securitization audit. When I called they explained that many loans made within the last several years were not securitized properly and that could be used as leverage to get your loan balance lowered. It sounded good since we are over 100k upside down on our mortgage. I have never missed a mortgage payment and have never paid late. I signed the contract but needed time to really look at the document and do research on this firm. They then told me before I could retain them I needed to speak with an attorney. My wife and I spoke with one of their attorneys ( Hiro Watari). He was professional but at the end of the phone call asked me for my checking account routing and account number so they could get paid their $3000.00 retainer fee before they start working on our case. The attorney asking me for my bank information so turned me off that I called the next day and told their rep Daniel Nicart that we decided not to retain their firm and I would be putting a stop payment on the $3000.00. He told me I did not have to do that ( I still did anyway. My gut told me to do it immediately). Daniel became rude and started insulting me. I could not believe my ears!!! I asked him to give me a few names of clients that they had successfully performed this type of litigation so I could hear for myself what to expect. He was silent then went off on me saying I am making a mistake and why did I wait so long to change my mind. I really was appalled at his unprofessionalism. I figure he was making a commission on my "sale" and was furious he would not be getting it.
There are lots of good review of this firm. From what I read a lot of them have to do with bankruptcy cases. I have not been able to find a single review on the type of litigation that were going to do for us. ( securitization audit). Bad sign. VERY bad sign indeed!!!
