They Really Do Not Care
I have done business with Checkworks twice but will not do so again. I re-ordered checks for my business on April 16 by telephone and was told it would take about 4-5 business days to print and about the same (or less) to mail. Ten days is a reasonable
amount of time so I placed the order. At two weeks, I called and was told that my checks had been mailed on the 26th even though their website showed the 29th. So, instead of 4 to 5 days to print, it was 10 days. On May 2, I called again and was told that
my checks had been mailed by "Priority Mail" on the 29th. I asked for tracking information and was told they do not provide tracking. I found that statement odd because, as a business owner, I ship via Priority Mail all the time and tracking is included. When
I complained about the long time it was taking it was obvious they could care less. My order was still within their "time frame." I was told that they would issue a refund if my order did not arrive by Monday, May 6th. My check arrived on Monday, May 6, a
full 20 days after I placed my order. My conclusions from this experience: 1. Checkworks is very quick to take your money. They debited my bank account the very next day after I placed the order. 2. Checkworks is very slow to honor their commitments. What
they say when you place the order is suddenly "not company policy." 3. Checkworks obviously does this to people quite often. Never was there any apology. Never was there any personal concern. The woman I dealt with on my last call was obviously well acquainted
with my sort of complaint which spoke volumes to me about the character of this company. 4. Checkworks is dishonest. In fact they outright lied to me. My checks were not sent priority mail at all. The label clearly indicates a presort standard First Class
rate postmarked April 26 and took 10 days to travel the 225 miles to my mailbox. As I said in the title of this review, they really do not care. There are plenty of other check printing companies out there. Do your research before you get the checkworks experience.
