Flying with China Southern Airlines is the typical experience, nothing special, nothing note-worthy. However, their customer service is horrible. They failed to move my bags from the Manila-Guangzhou flight to the Guangzhou-LAX plane, so I arrived in the US without any of my clothes. The worst part is that the cabin crew members who took down our information specifically asked for our final destination addresses and PROMISED that our bags will be delivered right to our doorstep. The bags were never delivered, and I had to make my own arrangements to pick them up from the airport -- after 4 days!
Since that time I have been in contact with their customer care department who has been giving me the run-around and is obviously delaying any kind of resolution or compensation for the trouble it has caused me. There were at least 10 other people on that flight who didn't get their bags upon landing at LAX, and most of them are much older than I am with medication in their luggage. I wonder if CSA would have taken this complaint more seriously if it cost a passenger his/her health or life.
