I reached out to Exclusive Auto Logistics for transportation needs during my relocation. The company representative was very nice and pleasant. I must say that the company lack communication skills. I provided my credit card information to have my car picked up and was charged a deposit. The day of my car being picked up a company called me by the name of K1. I inquired whom am I speaking with and they informed me they would be transporting my vehicle from Pennsylvania to California. This was the first that I heard of K1 and Exclusive being a broker. The company made promises that have not been honored, I was informed of door to door service. I had to take my car to K1 about 15 minutes walk for pickup of my vehicle on the 18th of December. I got a call on December 28th informing me that my car would be delivered on Tuesday or Wednesday. I informed the company that I work and need a more definite day of arrival. I was told its transportation and we cant give you exact time on an estimate plus make sure you have the balance. I was like what balance, this was the first that I heard of COD. Exclusive Autos informed me that its an additional 5% if they run the balance to my card and its not profit for them but for the credit card company. The total cost for transporting my vehicle was 971.00, so trust me this is my only complaint. I am not spending a few dollars, almost a thousand dollars. I would say with the economy being in the condition its in right now. I thought and feel that companies should take better care of they existing, returning and new customers. A driver from K1 called me an hour later and ask me if its ok to meet him on Tuesday about a few miles north of the airport. The airport is about 30 minutes from my new home and per cab its $35.00. I am new to town and no one to bring me to pick up the car, so as of 7pm my car is at a lot in Los Angeles awaiting approval for delivery. I just want to inform anyone looking for car service use a true car transportation company and make sure they are not a broker because they are not concerned about you once they have a signed contract. This entire process has been a big blaming game between the two companies. I did deal with a very truthful pleasure driver from K1 and he informed me that he has been delivering cars for years and never brought one of they large transporting vehicles into the city of San Francisco. This is information that the broker aka EXCLUSIVE should know and have informed me as a customer. Im in Customer Service and would never treat one of my customers the way I have been over the last 10 days.
I will say to everyone reading this including the BBB, we all know the moving even around the block can be hard, stressful and expensive. I moved from Pennsylvania to California and the cost of my household items cost me over 2000.00, Airfare 350.00, Movers 200.00 Early Termination of my lease which came out to one months rent of 1091.00 and then first and last months in a new place plus deposit 3850.00 = $7491.00 in 10 days plus the headache from not having my vehicle in my possession as promised.
