This is the WORST company I have ever dealt with by far - very rude and unprofessional. First, when I called Neighbors on May 21st to get a moving quote the rep on the phone convinced me that it was such a busy moving time that I had better reserve a slot. After confirming the rate ($74/hour for a minimum of 2 hours, plus a mandatory $74 charge for one hour of travel) and providing my information, he told me a $100 deposit was required to guarantee the truck. I was not informed of this and asked if it was 100% refundable should I need to cancel. The rep, Paul, assured me twice that I was able to cancel AT ANY TIME (with the exception of moving day) for a 100% refund. Long story short I of course ended up needing to cancel. I called Neighbors the following day. I was met with Shawn who I informed I needed to cancel my reservation, and was met with much resistance.... Shawn proceeded to try and "save the deal" by reviewing how many company accolades had been received over the years, provide me a lesser quote (which was still higher than the moving co.) and then stated he could cancel the truck but the deposit was nonrefundable. I explained to him that I was told otherwise but he continued to stick by this "policy" and refused to give me my money back. Shawn was very unprofessional and when asked why I could not receive a refund he stated that he was the supervisor and had the final say. Shawn then proceeded to belittle my fiancé over the phone and continued to be argumentative and insulting, even using cursing! After much hassle I was eventually informed that day by Shawn that I would receive a refund for my holding deposit of $100 within 3 business days. After 6 days of waiting I had not received my refund. I called the company and Anthony informed me that the refund was "processing". On June 3 I called again and this time Louis simply transferred me to a voicemail service. I left a voicemail with Amy. After not receiving a call back I called Amy on June 9 when she revealed to me that there was no sign of a refund ever being issued. She also did not even deal in accounting/refunds for the company but remained helpful in having someone else issue my refund within a few days. I finally received the full $100 deposited to my account on June 13th. Bottom line: These guys are liars, hagglers and unprofessionals. Do yourself a favor and don't deal with their excuse for a business!
