I was a fool and paid $2000 to sit in the front row for Paul McCartney in Lincoln NE. My seat was about 10 seats to the left of the stage and I could not see a single band member with my own eyes. What I could see was a guy working the camera arm. I watched the concert through the camera on that arm. Horrible, horrible experience. There were empty seats in the center of the front row. Just before the show started, here came blonde bimbos to sit there. People beside and I had planned on moving over. Sit those freebie people in seats you sold us where Paul McCartney can't be seen.
SLOTix would do nothing about it when I asked for a refund of some part of my money. Soundcheck was great, so I didn't want it all back, but I did not enjoy the concert one second.
Fast forward to this past October. Did the lower tier package for $1500 in Columbus, OH for McCartney. I had bought the ticket insurance because my elderly father is ill. Well, I went to Columbus and I ended up in the ER and not at the concert. Insurance reimbursed me for the ticket but SLO Tix would not even mail me the freaking merchandise because I had the insurance, according to the email they sent me.
I asked insurance company if they go back on SLO Tix and they said no. It didn't matter to them.
I'm spoiled by the seats of the $1500 package, but can't afford them. So no more Paul McCartney for me. I thought paying a scalper $500 for two front row tix in 1993 was bad. They were dead center and are the cost of a McCartney ticket now that isn't near the front row.
