Worst Company Ever!!! Don’t Hire We Care Tree Care.
We needed a tree cut down from our back yard. We had used We Care Tree Care before and thought that they were flaky but with a good price. We contacted the phone number on the previous invoice and asked to speak to John. A man by the name of Tory answered the phone and said that John was no longer with the company and that John was his ex-associate. Tory stated he was taking him to court because John had screwed him over and that John was using his company's name even after they split up. Tory went on and on and on telling me how unprofessional and untrustworthy John is. I answered sorry to hear that and stated that all I needed was a tree removed from my back yard. Tory said sure no problem I can go out to see it and give you a better price than John. Tory came out and gave us an estimate. I awarded the project to him given that he had matched John’s previous price for the same amount of work. So we scheduled a day for removal of the tree for Wednesday November 10th 2010 at 8:00 a.m. Tory came out on November 10th at 1:00p.m he was late and unprepared, when he arrived he excused himself for being late and also stated that his employee didn’t think that they would be able to remove the tree today before sunset. (Really you come in late with not even a phone call to advice your tardiness and then you don’t even get the job done!!!) Tory stated that he had given me an incorrect price because he had not calculated the time correctly and just wanted to beat John’s price and that he was not going to be able to cut down the tree for the said amount. I asked him if he was backing down from his original agreement. He started stuttering and stated that he was not changing his mind. All of a sudden with no reason at all Tory basically begged me not to write a bad review of him and his company because someone else had written a bad review. He also stated that the BBB had a lot of complaints about his company already thanks to John. He asked if we could reschedule for Tuesday November 16th at 9:00a.m. so I thought I would give him a second chance (right! everyone deserves a second chance). Tuesday November 16th came around 9:15a.m. this guy by the name of Robert came to our door. (Hair pulled back in a pony tail, black hat, black shirt, black cargo pants and black boots). Knocks and said he is Tory’s new associate and is here to see the tree. I answered what do you mean to see the tree? It is 9:15 a.m. you should be cutting my tree down by this time. He replied no, first I have to see the tree, video tape the tree and take some pictures before we cut it down. I said OK, and took him to my back yard. He started looking at the tree and called Tory and told him that there is a shed and a dog run (Which Tory had already seen two different days) and stated that the only way they could cut the tree down is if I sign a waiver stating that if they drop any branches on top of the shed or on one of my dogs I will not hold them liable. I replied NO, are you kidding me? (Don’t you have insurance? Can you be careful to avoid that either of this things from happening?). I told Robert I’m done with you. Tell Tory to call me. A couple minutes later Tory called me with another sorry excuse and tells me his partner /associate said the only way they can uphold the agreement is if I sign the waiver. That’s when I responded NO I’m not going to be liable for an accident I have no control over for your lack of experience.
I would not recommend We care Tree Care both from John or Tory, keep in mind that they might change their company name because of the legal actions and horrible reputation (Look them up on the BBB website).
I am giving them one star because there is no option for zero stars.
